OCTOBER IS TAG RENEWAL MONTH FOR LAST NAMES BEGINNING WITH “U”, “V”, “W”, “X”, “Y”, and “Z”.  Please call our Motor Vehicle Department at (205)625-4114 for more information.  You can also renew your tag online via this website, free app for your smart device, or our kiosks conveniently located in Snead and Blountsville.

***You are now able to pay your property taxes online.  Please click on the “Pay Your Property Tax” link above for this convenient option.

Just a reminder for those getting the OVER 65 PROPERTY TAX EXEMPTION-our office needs to update our records every few years. You should have received a letter from us in the mail stating what documents we need for the update. Please get this information to us before December 1st, in person, or send the information by someone to our office. Please do not hesitate to call if you have any concerns, questions, etc. We can be reached at (205)625-4117.

Blount County business owners are receiving notices from the Alabama State Department of Revenue which includes a pin # giving them the option to file their ADV-40, Business Personal Property Rendition, online this year.  This is only an option.  The new OPPAL (Optional Personal Property Assessment Link) was developed by the Alabama Department of Revenue and is free to use.  It is an electronic form of the ADV-40.  Business owners will still receive their standard  paper forms through the mail to file if they do not wish to file online.
