You will find that renewing your vehicle tag, renewing your mobile home registration and paying your property tax online will be quick and easy.
If your last name begins with P or L, July is your Tag renewal month. Payments can be made online via this website, the Blount County Courthouse, the Hayden Annex or you can download the app from the App Store for iPhone or Google Play if you have an Android phone. Just search for “Blount tags”.
Hayden Annex is now open Monday through Friday 8 am until 4 pm.
New Changes Began January 1st for License Plates and Tag Renewals
Please remember that on January 1, 2013 the new Mandatory Insurance requirements go into effect. All owners listed on the title of a vehicle will be required to provide their valid driver’s license number and expiration or Alabama issued non driver ID.
Insurance information must also be captured. If your insurance does not automatically load from the OVIS website, you will have to furnish us with a copy of your insurance card that contains the current effective date, the NAIC number, the policy number and the VIN number. We will not be able to process your renewal or registration without these documents.
We have been working to improve our GIS map option. While the new format may seem unfamiliar at first, we think you will be very happy with the improvements as you begin to use the new site. If you have any problems navigating this new site, please call us for assistance.
